the publishing world, "backlist" generally refers to any
book that isn't a new release. An author's backlist may still be available
on bookstore shelves or it may be obtainable by special order through
the publisher or distributor. In may also be out-of-print and only
available in used book stores or through private collectors who are
willing to sell. Some of my backlist titles are still available through
special order but most can only be obtained from used book stores
or collectors. Where possible, I have provided links to sources for
each of my backlist titles. |

""The

main characters."
Romantic Times Magazine
"This story is delightful, the banter is first-rate, and the potency
is electrifying. Good golly, Schuler writes some juicy scenes. Hey,
doesn't this author know paper burns? Yeah, Schuler's THE COWBOY
WAY is one entertaining, humorous, and hot read!

THE
COWBOY WAY (Harlequin Blaze #177), April 2005
Clay
Madison is the quintessential rodeo cowboy, a rugged untamed outlaw
with a roguish gleam in his soulful brown eyes and a smile as sly
and knowing as sin. In his fringed chaps and tight-fitting jeans,
with his spurs jingling and his hat pulled low over his brow, he's
a sight to make any woman swoon. And he knows it. He's used to living
fast and hard, traveling from one rodeo to the next, always on the
move, always on the lookout for the next ride, the next good time,
or the next willing woman.
Hard-headed, no-nonsense rancher Jo Beth Jensen is more than willing-up
to a point. The quintessential girl-next-door, Texas style, she
knows from experience that rodeo cowboys aren't the kind of men
a woman can depend on to stick around for the long haul. And that's
okay with her. She isn't looking for a long-term commitment anymore
than Clay is. The only thing on her mind is a hot time in the hayloft
with a cowboy who's too sexy for his jeans.

TIME GIRL (Harlequin Blaze #27), February 2002
After
getting a makeover from prim to improper, Roxanne Archer -- now
just Roxy -- sets out to have a good time being bad. And she has
her heart set on a good-looking, dangerous cowboy to do it with.
Her first stop is a west Texas honky-tonk where Tom Steele, with
all his dangerous laid-back rodeo cowboy charm, strikes her fancy
and sets her heart -- and other parts -- on fire. Bronc-rider Tom
Steele can't believe his luck! This sexy, sassy woman has practically
dragged him off to her motel room for a night of wild, raucous,
mind-blowing sex, with no strings attached. But what was supposed
to be a one-nigh stand is so good, one night of being bad just isn't
enough...for either of them.

UNINHIBITED
(Harlequin Blaze #7), September 2001
Reed
Sullivan is a Boston blueblood--well-bred, sophisticated, urbane
and oh-so-proper. He prides himself on always being in control of
every situation and never losing his cool. Zoe Moon is an uninhibited
Boston bohemian with no breeding to speak of, no claims to sophistication
and scant regard for what is and isn't considered proper. The moment
they meet, both Reed's control and his regard for propriety begin
to slip...

EVERY
KID NEEDS A HERO, (Harlequin Delta Justice series, Book 5) January,
1998
Matt
Taggart, recent widower and single father, didn't think he was ready
for a new romance, especially not with a sophisticated jet-setter
like Jax Delacroix. World-class equestrian and Olympic medal winner
Jacqueline Delacroix had her own reasons for not wanting to get
involved with the good-looking veterinarian--not least of which
was his two children. But get involved they did, and soon their
not-so-secret romance was juicy grist for the Bayou Beltane gossip
mill. They'd both been the target of gossip before...Matt had done
the honorable thing and married the woman who was carrying his child...Jax
had turned tail and run for cover when her first marriage hit the
rocks. Now Jax was the one who was pregnant. Would Matt do the honorable
thing again? Would Jax say yes, or would she run...

LUCK
OF THE DRAW (Harlequin Temptation, Texas; Mail Order Men series
#608), October, 1996
By
his own admission, Travis Holt was the best-looking, sweetest-talking,
winningest bull rider on the rodeo circuit--or, rather, he had been
until a tragic accident made him the sole guardian of his three
orphaned nieces. What he was now was a single father in desperate
need of someone to help him raise three precious little girls up
good and proper. Single mother Eve Reardon was desperate, too. Desperate
enough to accept a marriage proposal from a man she hadn't even
met until two days before the wedding. They both vowed to make the
best of their bargain and try to build a marriage based on mutual
need. Neither one expected love to play a part in their relationship...

THE
PERSONAL TOUCH (Harlequin Temptation, #497), July 1994 - #13 on
Waldenbooks' Romance Bestseller List
District
Attorney Matt Ryan had a lot on his plate--a back load of cases,
a political campaign for the judge's seat vacated by his deceased
father, and a widowed mother who's new hobby seemed to be nagging
him about being married to his job. When a friend told him about
The Personal Touch, a discreet dating service for the over-55 crowd,
he thought he'd found an answer to at least one of his problems.
But owner Susannah Bennington caused him more problems than she
solved. In the first place, her idea of the perfect man for Matt's
widowed mother in no way jibbed with Matt's list of requirements.
And, secondly, she was gorgeous, sexy and unconventional--not at
all the type of woman an up-and-coming lawyer with political aspirations
should even think about becoming involved with. But Matt did more
than think about it. Pretty soon the straight-laced lawyer and the
bohemian beauty were a hot item. And then the rumors surfaced that
suggested Susannah's discreet little dating service was really a
front for prostitution...

JUST
ANOTHER PRETTY FACE (Harlequin Temptation, Hollywood Dynasty Trilogy,
#459), September, 1993 - #7 on Waldenbooks' Romance Bestseller List
When
action-flick heartthrob Pierce Kingston's fan mail turns ugly, his
family decides it's time to hire a bodyguard to protect him, whether
he thinks it's necessary or not. Pierce vehemently protests their
decision--until he gets a look at the tall, leggy brunette they've
hired. He does an abrupt about-face, instantly acceding to his family's
wishes, then goes after her like a heat-seeking missile locked on
target, determined to get the beauty-in-combat boots in his bed.
Ex-Marine and bodyguard Nikki Martinelli is equally determined not
to be taken in by another pretty face, even if it does belong to
the sexiest, most charming man she's ever met. As far as she's concerned,
Pierce Kingston is just another assignment, a body--albeit a gorgeous
one--to be guarded. She will not fall in love with him...

July, 1993
Sultry,
sexy, soap star Tara Channing has been typecast as the other woman,
both on screen and in her private life. Having been born into the

burned by another professional jezebel and doesn't trust his own
judgment where women are concerned. Despite--or because--of his
overwhelming attraction to Tara, he can't believe she's really as
sweet and sincere as she seems. No one could be that beautiful,
that sexy, and still be as innocent and open as she appears to be.
It isn't until he nearly loses her...and their unborn child...that
he realizes how wrong he is.

Pint-sized
private investigator Natalie Bishop has a personal stake in her
latest case. Her brother's business partner has been murdered and
the prime suspect--the victim's own half-brother--has inherited
half the business. Lucas Sinclair denies any involvement in the
crime. He barely knew his younger half-brother and had no idea he
had inherited anything until the lawyers notified him he was now
the co-owner of a struggling video game business. Besides, he has
an alibi...and he already owns his own thriving security company,
so what would he want with a half-interest in a business he knows
nothing about? When the police clear him of suspicion, Natalie is
grudgingly forced to accept that he isn't guilty of anything more
than being the most outrageously sexy man she's ever met. Still,
good looks alone are not enough to make her sit still for any interference
when he suggests teaming up to catch the bad guys. It's the way
he kisses that convinces her they could be partners...

MATES (Harlequin Temptation #205), June, 1988 - Romantic Times’
Reviewer's Choice Certificate of Excellence for Best Temptation
of the Year.
As
far as John Redcloud was concerned, Victoria Dillion was a spoiled
society dilettante who'd had all the good things in life handed
to her on a silver platter. She'd never had to work a day in her
life and had no idea how the other half--his half--of the human
race lived. In light of that, it was particularly maddening to realize
he wanted her anyway. Since he couldn't seem to resist temptation,
he resolved to limit his exposure to it--and her. But Victoria wasn't
that easy to avoid...what with his grandmother practically ordering
her to prolong her visit to the summer camp, and his cousin inviting
her to her wedding...it got so a man couldn't turn around without
bumping into the raven-haired beauty. And Victoria herself didn't
make his self-imposed task any easier. She was determined to prove
she was the right woman--the only woman--for the handsome Navajo
rancher.

Jeanette Darwin ), October, 1984
CPA
Megan Saunders has spent her professional life straightening out
artists’ financial tangles but her tumultuous childhood as the daughter
of one famous artist and her disastrous marriage to another had
taught her that artists’ business affairs were definitely all she
wanted to handle. As a hardworking, responsible single mom, she
had nothing but disdain for the carefree bohemian lifestyle most
artistic types seemed to prefer. Her safe, conservative life suited
her just fine…so how in the world had she managed to become intimately
involved with a client? True, Garth Matthews seemed different from
her flaky, irresponsible ex-husband and he said he loved her but
Megan had heard those words before and she’d learned not to trust
them. The question was, could she trust Garth?

half-a-dozen times I laughed out loud. It was touching, delightful,
fantastic and sensual."

DESIRE'S
CHILD (Harlequin Temptation #28), September, 1984 - #7 on Waldenbooks'
Romance Bestseller List. Reissued in Harlequin's By Request "Father
Knows Last" anthology, 1994.
Makeup
artist Desiree Weston had always admired Oscar-winning actor Jake
Lancing. Actually meeting him in person was a dream come true. He
was everything she'd thought he'd be, every fantasy fulfilled. She
allowed herself to be swept away for one unforgettable weekend of
passion. But passion had it's price and Desi had more than memories
to remember him by. Afraid of his reaction to what had been nothing
more than an extended one-night-stand, Desi keeps silent about the
birth of her daughter. In the small, insular world of movie-making,
it's no easy feat, especially when fate reunited them on the set
of Jake's new blockbuster movie.
